| This spirit from wormwood extracts is distilled in accordance with the best tradition of Armand GUY and Co, following the same recipe as the one which made Pontarlier famous until 1914. |
Components have not been changed either : green aniseed from Spain, and wormwood (the absinthe plant) grown in the Pontarlier area.

After François GUY considerably decreased its percentage of possibly harmful ingredients, it keeps all the traits of an Absinthe, with a strong and powerful taste, developing the same flavours as the plant itself.

Serving ceremonial :
- Fill the container of the fountain with water (first) and ice cubes,
- Pour a shot (4cl) of Spiritueux à l’Absinthe de Pontarlier François GUY in a tall “Absinthe” glass,
- Put the spoon across the top of the glass and place the sugar on it (one-half to one-and-a-half lump),
- Open slightly the tap to pour water drop by drop on the sugar (one drop a second),
- After all the sugar is dissolved, stir gently with the spoon.

Your aperitif is ready to drink.
As sugar increases the Absinthe flavours, its quantity will vary with taste.
However, in order to keep the legend intact and the discovery intense, we recommend you enjoy this rare product during special occasions, with friends around the fountain, when drop by drop preparation will make the pleasure to be together ecstatic. Cheers ! |
